Do not think that the sleep aids would be necessarily a medication. These can be simple changes that you can make to your daily routine so as to get a good sleep. You should make a regular habit of going to bed every night at the same time. If you follow a strict and regular regime as far as your sleeping time is concerned, you might benefit a lot as your body would get accustomed to the sleeping time. If you are suffering from insomnia, you might be tempted to take a siesta but this will disturb your schedule, so you should avoid taking naps during the day, sleep at night when our bodies need sleep naturally. Avoid the use of nicotine and caffeine especially during those hours which are in proximity to your sleeping time. As it is a well known fact that these stimulants make it more difficult for an individual to sleep. If you think alcohol is the answer then think again, as it disrupts the natural sleeping cycle. Exercise regularly, go for a bike ride or a walk doing the day, and feel relaxed so that you can get a peaceful sleep at night.
